We took our name from the Whitechapel Bell Foundry in Whitechapel Road, London, where our handbells were cast and where the master founder, Robert Chamberlain, was in business in 1420. Famous bells cast there include Big Ben and the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia, and hundreds of rings of tower bells which hang in churches in England and other countries around the world.

Over the years we have rung for church and garden weddings, concerts, fetes, dinners and in shopping centres, appeared on TV and been heard on radio, rung in the Linder Auditorium and the Johannesburg City Hall, and been asked to ring in many Anglican churches and those of other denominations.
